RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised sealed or un-played should be mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding scuffing
VINYL VISUAL CONDITION:..
The vinyl surfaces are near mint, only one or two very light sleeve removal wisps are present on the surfaces, these are extremely faint and only visible under spot lamp (please see photos below). I feel the vinyl visually grades NEAR MINT
AUDIO TEST:..
The audio is clean sounding throughout, slight intro static tics are noted. All tracks are clear and have brilliant sound separation. NO pops, skips, jumps or sticks. NO distortion. I feel the audio grades throughout EXCELLENT+
AUDIO QUALITY
The Audio quality has been play graded using my Michell Engineering turntable with high quality MC cartridge.
SLEEVE CONDITION:..
The gatefold sleeve is clean, NO writing inside or out. some wear to bottom edge and to spine, NO splits or tears and still a nice example of this sleeve none the less. (please see photos below) I feel the sleeve grades EXCELLENT MINUS
INNER SLEEVE CONDITION:..
The vertigo inner has no tears, writing or real damage, slightly yellowing now, which is age related(please see photos below). I feel the inner sleeve grades EXCELLENT
