Description

WELCOME to softercrofter’s auctions! You will find all the information you need below. If something is unclear – please contact me! All my records are playgraded and checked visually under strong light. I DO NOT use the term "excellent" according to Goldmine Grading Standards. Many of you know that my VERY GOOD PLUS is a fine and collectible record. Items are located in Sweden and I am happy to ship worldwide. Happy bidding and don’t forget to have a look at my other auctions! Enjoy…

ARTIST: FAIRFIELD PARLOUR

TITLE: From home to home

LABEL: VERTIGO 6360 001

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: UNITED KINGDOM

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1970

MATRIX CODE SIDE A: 6360001 1Y//1 11 2 (Stamped)

MATRIX CODE SIDE B: 6360001 2Y//1 11 1 (Stamped)

Basically the third KALEIDOSCOPE-album. Classic British progressive with all the right elements included.

CONDITION: (vinyl/cover) VG+/VG+ ***GREAT COPY*** (Please read detailed information below!)

COVER; the textured gatefold cover is very nice. It has some light wear round the edges and corners and a few small creases at the spine, qualifying for a solid VERY GOOD PLUS-grading.

VINYL; the vinyl has a really nice sheen, with some light hairlines and a few faint wispy marks, from removing it from the innersleeve, visible under strong light. Visually close to NEAR MINT. It plays very nice, with only some light static crackle in between some of the tracks and in some of the mellow parts. Aurally very close to NEAR MINT. Very nice.

LABELS; both labels are very nice, with basically no visible signs of wear at all.

EXTRA, comes with SWIRL-innersleeve. It has a some creasing and someone has written “6360 001” with a black ballpoint pen top right, but very nice as a whole.

I use GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS – MINT/NEAR MINT/VERY GOOD PLUS/VERY GOOD/GOOD/POOR. The grading MINT (M) is hardly ever used - and at that umcommon occasion - NOT used improperly. NEAR MINT (NM) means NEAR MINT both visually and audible! VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) is the same as EXCELLENT (EX) in other grading systems. My ambition is to provide an as accurate description as possible and I do not try hide any defects or other flaws on the record and cover. MY GRADING IS STRICT and winning bidder ALWAYS has full refund minus shipping costs! PLEASE E-MAIL IF ANY CONCERNS! THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING!

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS

MINT ---- It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

NEAR MINT ---- Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.

VERY GOOD PLUS ---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original lustre may be lost. A slight scratch that did not affect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.

VERY GOOD ---- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl lustre, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.

GOOD ---- Well played with little lustre and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.

POOR ---- Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above "Good" grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws
