ATTENTION!
St*neyBl*ke / Mint-Minus Records is currently using a KEITH MONKS 'Prodigy' professional record-cleaning machine to enhance the vinyl service. The Prodigy is the latest model of record-cleaning machine (available for the first time in 2020), from the World-renowned Keith Monks company and is already receiving excellent reviews in the HI-Fi press. The machine has been acquired in order to increase the quality of the vinyl that is sold through this site to the highest level possible, and the machine does give excellent results.
What difference does this make to the records that are advertised here?
From this point on ALL vinyl that I sell will have been cleaned using this machine, combined with a specially formulated KEITH MONKS or ART DU SON record-cleaning solution made from pure bio-degradable ingredients.
PROCEDURE
1) Firstly the disc will be cleaned as described above 2) The disc will then be FULLY play-graded, to enable an accurate grading for the advert. I am happy to offer this service. This is done on a very high quality Linn Sondek turntable fitted with a £100 Goldring E3 moving-magnet cartridge.
Gradings are made according to the Record Collector Magazine grading system.

This is the 1970 album By FAIRPORT CONVENTION. This great record, a favourite of mine for the past 40 years is for sale here, being a first pressing. Fairport Convention released this, their 5th album, in the year following the 'Liege and Lief' genre-defining opus. The superb production was by Joe Boyd, for Witchseason Productions. First released on the UK Island label, it has been very well cared for since I bought it (2nd hand) in 1987. I now have 2 copies so I am selling this one.

Gatefold E.J.Day group textured sleeve, with original white card / grey card inner construction.
The original track listing is blacked out, indicating the first release.
Hard to find as good as this final upgrade copy!!
DISC: EX // No skipping or sticking / very little wear on either side / very slight warp with no effect (Side 1 only) / labels clean / Test play showed very occasional, very slight background crackle on Side 1 / There is virtually no background crackle on side 2, but there is a scratch for 6 revolutions on track 2 which is hardly noticable.
SLEEVE: VG+ // no ring wear / very good opening edge / all text is legible on the spine, but slightly faded as is common on this album sleeve - see photos / no edge slices anywhere / 5mm opening edge bottom split.
INNER: EX // original poly-lined white paper. Brit patent number
