'Bandstand'
Reprise, UK, 1972
K 54006
SIXTH ALBUM from this progressive rock institution showcasing a more rockier style - as befitting the times - than displayed on earlier records. The music here is far more grittier displaying all the brilliant attributes of vocalist Roger Chapman and guitarist Charlie Whitney with elements of jazz, blues and progressive rock and even folk. Contains the brilliant 'Burlesque' whilst 'My Friend The Sun' could easily have been a hit single. Really one of the most spectacular British rock groups of the era. Highly recommended.
Super nice copy housed in an impossible to find clean and undamaged gimmix cover with cellophane panel brilliantly intact.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.
