Description
Original copy of Children by Famous (the Flying Sweet Angel of Joy) on Clip-So Records, Seattle, WA, 197?. Was reissued on CD some time ago with date listed as 1969 but I'm guessing this is more like early 70's. I may be way off-base here (write me if I am and I'll amend auction) but best I can tell, this is the 2nd known copy of this LP. Either way, I'm thrilled to offer it, it's a rare event when something this unique in this genre shows up here out of the blue! This is a classic gospelsoulblues sound with a very potent DIY production sound but with odd twists like his overdubbed "female" backing chorus (he's a one-man-band of sorts). Here's a needle drop MP3 so you can get a taste but these MP3s sound pathetic in comparison to the orig -- this record has a VERY big sound! Hopelessly obscure artist too. I made efforts to find him which went nowhere fast, and it's looking like this is the only record he ever produced.
Cover is misshapen from exposure, shows heavy h20 staining front & back and a clipped corner. Disc is a strong VG with hairlines and needle marks.
