The mono version of "Fantastica" is far superior to the stereo version revealing instrumental nuances and details which are lost in the stereo recording. The overall recorded mix of the mono audio presentation entails an immediate aural preference which is richer and upfront, isolating the individual instruments in the orchestra.
Conversely, certain instrumentally orchestrated & electronic arrangements of the stereo version sound softer, echoed or distant in the background of the mix. The difference between the mono and stereo versions are quite surprising on this particular recording, as ((stereo)) is the generally preferred and best sounding choice over 50% of the time. However, this mono recording is the exception.
