There are three Savoy sessions on this LP. The first includes: BOPPIN’ A RIFF; FAT BOY; EVERYTHING’S COOL and WEB CITY. It was recorded on September 6, 1946 and features: Kenny Dorham, Fats Navarro (tp) Sonny Stitt (as) Morris Lane (ts) Eddie De Verteuil (bar) Bud Powell (p) Al Hall (b) Kenny Clarke (d) Gil Fuller (arr). The second session features: A BEBOP CARROLL; GONE WITH THE WIND; THE TADD WALK; THAT SOMEONE MUST BE YOU. Recorded October 28, 1947, the personnel is: Fats Navarro (tp) Ernie Henry (as) Tadd Dameron (p) Curly Russell (b) Kenny Clarke (d) Kay Penton (vcl). The third session includes: SERENADE TO A SQUARE; GOOD KICK; SEVEN UP and BLUES IN BEBOP. Performing are: : Kenny Dorham (tp) Sonny Stitt (as) Bud Powell (p) Al Hall (b) Kenny Clarke (d). This is a First Pressing and a MONO recording.
I have graded the vinyl as M- as there is no sign of wear nor are there any marks on wither side. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole on either side. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket has no taped seams. The only sign of wear is on the front cover, as there is some visible shelf wear.
