FEAR - More Beer LP. 1985 Pressing, (silver band logo.) Enigma / Restless Records. Hardcore Punk. RARE. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
Of the three 1985 versions of this record, this is the only one to feature a silver band logo on the front cover, rather than black, and the only one to feature the Enigma logo on the back cover rather the Restless logo. I believe that it is the earliest pressing, but I could be wrong.
This record has a good deal of scratches and smudges on it. Most appear to be Light but with this many there is always the possibility that one or two could be more significant. Even so, there aren't likely any scratches bad enough to cause a skip or disturb the listener much. There will likely be some pops and clicks and/or surface noise in some parts, but it likely still sounds pretty good. Because it looks a bit scuffed up I can't rate it better than G+
The lyric insert is pretty trashed with rips, stains, crumples, creases and even a corner section that has been ripped completely off. (see pictures.) I considered removing it all together to improve the overall condition of this package, but I decided that someone might like to have it since most of the lyrics are still readable. I'm rating it G- which is the lowest grade that I give. It is thoroughly trashed. G-
The cover is also fairly war-torn. There is Moderate / Light ring wear on front and back. A Moderate bend on one corner and a Light bend on another. There are a number of veins near the edges, and the Spine and Shelf edges have Moderate wear leaning towards Severe. There are a couple sections of those edges where the varnished outer paper is worn right down to the raw under cardboard. This cover still doesn't look quite bad enough to make your collection look trashy, but it does have a bit of battle damage. G
Grades that I use are G-, G, G+, G++, G+++, VG, VG+, VG++, VG+++/EX, NM. I won't be describing anything as M or MINT unless it is unopened and the packaging is completely unblemished. Records that have never been played but HAVE been opened, will be described as Near Mint or NM. These are the adjectives that I use when describing damage: Very Light, Light, Moderate, Severe, Catastrophic. To describe damage in between those ranks I say things like: "Moderate leaning towards Severe," "Moderate leaning towards light," or "In between Light and Moderate"...just for example.
