This is one of the most obscure records that the Portuguese psychedelic group Quarteto 1111 made with other artists. In this case, it’s a female singer, Filipa van Uden, who five years later would also sing in a Green Windows (one of the groups formed by José Cid) recording. She has a voice that some times resembles Joan Baez’s, and the songs are all arranged beautifully by Quarteto 1111 (José Cid, keyboards; António Moniz Pereira, guitar; Tozé Brito, bass guitar; and Miguel Artur da Silveira, drums)
What you get here is a psychedelic folk sound, with songs ranging from the mediaeval romances “Fermozinha” [Beautiful Damsel] and “Pela Margem do Rio Tranquilo” [Down by the Quiet Riverside] to the traditional song “O Anel Que Tu Me Deste” [The Ring You Gave Me], with also a José Cid original song sung in English, “A Place To Hideaway”. Don´t lose your chance of getting this never before seen relic!
