Non-sealed vinyl records will be taken out of their covers for transit to avoid seam splits. If a record has a printed inner sleeve it'll be taken out of it and put into a regular one. Records and covers will be put in outer plastic sleeves, and of course everything will be packed tightly inside a proper cardboard record mailer. For CDs I'll use cardboard mailers or bubble mailers.
