About This Record.  This is one of my favorite ten (10) LPs on the planet.   Not an original, but still a really RARE REISSUE cool Acid Folk Psych LP by F. J. McMahon entitled Spirit of the Golden Juice!  This an exceptional album and while not many people know about it, I think this is one that IS as wicked as its reputaton.  I purchased this reissue at Amoeba Records 10-15 years ago . . . and burned to a CD.  The cover still resides in its shrink. 

I just found an original, so now this must go. Originals are never seen and I'll leave that up to you and lady luck if you are looking for an original or even a rare reissue like this. Fortunately for me I found an original on Accent, but unfortunately for me I have to sell a lot of records to pay for my original, including this reissue I would prefer to keep . . . but why play the reissue when you have an original.  I like Damon -Song of a Gypsy a little better, but both those LPs are priceless and necessary in my mind.  I am not as fond of Bob Desper (I have his reissue for sale too). 

Awesome heartfelt vocal with wickedly subtle guitar that fuzzes out much more than here and again.  . . .

Highly recommended, hate to part with this never seen reissue, but I loved and hated even more having to part with the $$$$$ it took to acquire the original (see photo so you know what the original looks like which is NOT for sale).  The original label is in the fourth photo; this reissue is what led me to a rarely seen original; only took me 22 years to find an original, and it would take you that long to find a reissue, let alone another as nice as this.

I am a musical heathen, but I lik this LP because it is somewhere on the barameter out there like Damon and Hooker's Truth.

 Anyway, This reissue looks SO SO much like the original that people get really confused about what is the original (whenever they turn up which is .  . never).  This reissue, like all and any, has the slick paste on the cover; the originals do not.  Stud Cole is a different matter, see my reissue of his stuff . . .

Here's how you tell the difference:  Obvious:  see my photos of the original and this reissue.  Original not for sale.  You NEED this LP just like I did, but I hope you have to pay less than I did for an original.

Vinyl Condition.  Mint minus in shrink wrap; Impossible to upgrade; good luck finding an original.  HIGHLY Recommended!.

Cover Condition.  Near Mint because 3 of 4 corners have MINOR only light bumps on the corners.

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years.  With a kid in college, I often sell records so I can buy more vinyl or, in this case, pay the last college tuition bills of the year!  99% of what I sell is vinyl; read my Feedback! Common LPs are a waste of your time and mine!    I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept in well preserved.  This comes in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve, and new plastic sleeve.
