FLEETWOOD MAC, PETER GREEN’S FLEETWOOD MAC, 1968 FIRST ISSUE, DEBUT BLUE HORIZON STEREO LP IN FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE, CATALOGUE NUMBER, S 7-63200.
Fleetwood Mac, also known as Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, is the debut album by the band Fleetwood Mac, released in 1968. The album is a mixture of blues covers and originals penned by guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, who also share the vocal duties. The release of the album brought the band overnight success; in the UK, the album reached No. 4 and stayed on the charts 37 weeks, despite the lack of a hit single. The album barely made the charts in the US, reaching No. 198. Even though the album has sold over a million copies in the UK, it has never received a certification there. As of June 2015, the album has sold over 150,000 copies in the US.
Released in the UK in 1968 and the first of only 3 album releases on the Blue Blue Horizon Record Label.
Both record labels and both vinyl surfaces are in superb Excellent Plus condition, bright and undamaged record labels with just signs of some plays around the centre of the labels, and just a fer light surface hairlines on the LP.
Side 1 matrix, S 7-63200 A 1, and Side 2, SBPG 63200 B 2.
The LP plays through both sides without faults, a superb blues music content.
The LP comes in it’s original front laminated Picture sleeve. The front of the sleeve is a lovely undamaged example in Excellent Plus condition. No seam splits or tears, just light record storage signs, and the reverse of the sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition with it’s original Stereo sticker at the top.
This is a fine example of this rare UK Stereo Fleetwood Mac LP.
