K 56344 WARNER RECORDS 1977
FIRST PRESS WITH PICTURE INNER FOLDER. WHAT MAKES THIS RECORD REALLY RARE AND COLLECTABLE IS THAT ALTHOUGH THE RECORD ITSELF IS DEFINITELY THE FIRST PRESS, WITH NORMAL SIDE 1 AND SIDE 2 AS PRESSED, IT HAS TWO SIDE 2 LABELS, RECORD SIDE '1' HAS HAD A SIDE '2' LABEL ATTACHED, AND THERE IS NO SIDE '1' LABEL AT ALL! PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
I HAVE TRIED TO FIND ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THIS HAPPENING, BUT CANNOT FIND ONE, ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE MORE OUT THERE.
THE RECORD MATRIX IS-
SIDE '1'- ETCHED- K + 56344 A ALLEN AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE R/S OR (THIS HAS A SIDE 2 LABEL)
SIDE '2'- ETCHED- K + 56344 + B ALLEN AND ALSO HAS- OR R/S
THE SIDE 2 LABELS SEEM EXACTLY LIKE THE FIRST PRESS ONE WAS, AND THE OUTER SLEEVE IS NON-TEXTURED, WITH NO GAP IN THE K56344 CODE ON THE SLEEVE SPINE, AND NO 'GOTHIC PRESS' STAMP ON BACK OF COVER. IT ALSO HAS THE FOLDED INSERT WITH BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS.
THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT CONDITION, GLOSSY AND FRESH WITH JUST A COUPLE OF VERY LIGHT RUBS/ HAIRLINES. THE INNER FOLDOUT IS IMMACULATE, AND THE OUTER SLEEVE EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT, CLEAN WITH NO MARKS, AND CLEAR UNCRUSHED SPINE. JUST EXTREMELY MINIMAL SIGNS OF HANDLING. THE RECORD HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL CARED FOR. IT IS 43 YEARS OLD AND LOOKS AMAZING- BUT WHAT MAKES IT CRAZY AND COLLECTABLE ARE THE TWO SIDE 2 LABELS!
