PETER GREEN played WONDERFULLY on this apex British electric blues album, and combined with the mercurial young talent DANNY KIRWAN, sometimes they reached the most beautiful heights on this recording - yet it was to culminate and end abruptly when Peter resigned from his band.
The mysterious circumstances have long been the subject of legend. Was it a drugged night of jamming in Germany, or his charitable intents not being shared by the others?
What's evident is that they made a very special and cohesive record here, one that is forever a pleasure to soak in these sounds.
Jeremy Spencer didn't have much input on this reco3, but that was redressed when his tracks were put together as a solo lp! For this album the cehesive style was better preserved in this manner for an outstanding lp.
Truly, music that's the food of love!
