The exciting music here is from a BBC produced series that sent a film crew to the Andes to capture the region's spirit from a Condor's point of view.

The end result on this record is quite something, what with the local instruments in use: Cane flutes, large box guitars, a Tiple (not unlike a harpsichord), and a Bombo, which is a bass drum made from a hollowed-out tree trunk. (Moves some air, it does.)

Worth a visit, to be sure, as it is on the TAS list as one of the finest film scores ever recorded on vinyl.

Cover of this gatefold edition is without major fault.  BBC label record within plays near mint.
