Description
FLOWMOTION #1 - FANZINE (UK, LEEDS - 1980) ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE PUNK FANZINE THE MAGAZINE OF ELECTRONIC AND EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC Original and very rare first issue of a DIY electronic & experimental punk fanzine created by Ian Dobson and Gordon Hope - later a label and a catalogue for cassettes and records - much related to Industrial Records & Throbbing Gristle (Flowmotion label in the early '80s re-released the complete TG cassette catalogue). This issue seems to be a prototype as various images and logos are glued on the pages (all the blue bits and the 'Flowmotion Tapes' catalogue on intro page are 'collage' style artwork) and I can't imagine that many such copies would be produced. Includes great features on the minimal electronics / experimental / industrial / synth / avant-garde scene of the late '70s and the early '80s: THROBBING GRISTLE / PETER CHRISTOPHERSON INDUSTRIAL NEWS / MONTE CAZZAZA / CHRIS CARTER / RICHARD KIRK - CASSETTES PETER HAMMILL METABOLIST INERTIA CABARET VOLTAIRE EYELESS IN GAZA DE TIAN COME ORGANISATION - D.I.Y.
