Description

THE FLYS-45-“Be What You Is” b/w “The Way Things Are”-Myskatonic Records #M-101-MONSTER & KillerKool 1966 McLean VIRGINIA Garage-Punk. You probably know the dy-no-mite A side from assorted comps, if not, a drum-heavy garage-pounder-badazz guttural lead vocal, cool ‘do you own trip’ lyrics, a heavy fuzz guitar crashes in following the chorus, sort of what the ‘lead ‘ is-fast-furious fuzz-over and out---B side is a great folk-punker, again, guitar dominated (sort of sideways “Feel A Whole Lot Better” type riff) with guttural Byrd-like vocals-amazingly on-key and a Vox Continental organ buried in the mix. Very Cool record & band.
Condition: Record is close to MINT-Minus; BUT is pressed slightly off-center on the B-side ONLY, both label and pressing, plays fine, but can see that it is pressed slightly off when playing, does not really affect play, but you can hear a slight ‘off’ sound hardly noticeable except on the intro and tailout…A side is solid.
