Description

Food and Shelter - Square Dance - on Resistance Records from 1984. Only 300 of these were pressed. Has booklet and original cover which is Tin. The insert booklet has lite  handling creases. Cvr/ VG (tin cover has some black tarnish marks which I'm sure can be probably buffed out, and some minor handling bends) Rec/ visually Fair with lite hairline marks, Play is Not affected for the most part, just one track "sleep" plays with lite minor background noise.
From the web:

Totally unknown and underrated synth punk (from a very wide view)band. Food and Shelter's sole album "Square Dance," released in 1984 on Resistance Records (Marina Del Rey)  Featuring  members Russell Jessum, Debbie Spinelli (who also played with 17 Pygmies and Cindy Lee Berryhill) and Fey Ruza.

Instruments used include vibes, piccolo, clarinet, horns, xylophone, marimba, and tin whistle. Overall, a great synth punk meets minimal electronics meets Residents era squeezed popish experimentation here. Very strong are the influences of the pop-ish side of LAFMS scene, early Tuxedomoon,17 Pygmies, but also Screamers ,etc. ( mutant-sounds )

RECORD GRADES USED

Lps graded under a "natural sunlight" lamp = to 150 watts

M- Like new but may have a single small mark or a small area of very lite sleeve wear, none of which affect play
VG++ May have a very few lite marks/scuffs, sleeve wear, play will probably not be affected
VG+ Has some lite scratches/scuffs, maybe writing on label, may play with occasional lite noise
VG Will have more noticable scratches/scuffs than VG+, may play with greater amount of lite noise
G Lots of visual lite scratches/scuffs but still plays good with lite to moderate noise, nothing too distracting
Fair Moderate scratches but still plays good for the most part with maybe constant lite noise, no skips, pops or ticks

HOW I PACK RECORDS & EXTRA REQUIRED POSTAGE

I use cardboard lp mailer with cardboard filler pad. I take the record out of the jacket so cover does not get seam split damage. NOTE: I retain proof of mailing for all lp's sent.
