Description
This LP was given 8 of 10 points by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk Discography). Here’s your chance to get a very clean pressing of a legendary melody punk classic from Canada. Their brilliant first LP titled THIS AIN’T HOLLYWOOD. Pressed on ‘Star’ records in 1980 (catalogue number SR 002). The same sold on eBay, in April, for 40 Euro. This album includes both tracks from their first 7“ titled ‘Rhona Barrett’ and ‘Tell Me You Love Me’. You can also hear fantastic songs like ‘England Keep Yer Stars’ / ‘The Me Generation’ / ‘Dont Hide Your Face’ / ‘Surfing On Heroin’ and so on. Also ‘Eve Of Destruction’, a fantastic cover version appears on this longplayer. This rarity was released in two different covers. This is the live-on-stage sleeve. As additional here’s the comment taken from the wonderful FLEX book:
- Their third 12” features the tried formula again; rough but very melodic punk rock with great melodies, influenced by UK bands or the Ramones, plus the cynical lyrics. [8]
- Sehr poppiger 77er-Punk-Rock mit tollen Melodien; Einflüsse sind natürlich die Ramones, aber auch englische 77-Bands; dabei klingen die Rebels noch eine ganze Ecke rauher als die manchmal doch etwas glatten Vorbilder.

Versand / Mailing: alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden (all records will be sent in plain white sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits). Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
