FORMERLY FAT HARRY- SAME- LP.

HARVEST RECORDS. SHSP4016. 1971. MATRIX: A3 / B2.

CONDITION: VG / EX. The flipback textured sleeve has a large scuff mark on the front top right corner, edge buffing, dirt and fading marks and a few creases. Please check the pictures for clarification, no edge splits. This comes with its original Harvest advertising inner sleeve which is in fine condition.

Superb labels, clean and looking brand new, under a strong light a few tiny spindle trails can just be seen, the centre-hole is perfect and shows no signs of wear. The vinyl retains its new shine, under a stong light numerous feather scratches, a few tiny dot marks and dirt / dust spots can be seen. I have test played this through both sides and found the audio to be superb barring the following notes:

Side one, deadpan start, perfect audio, midway through track one, one pop is heard. At the very end of track two, a few crackles are heard. Looking closely at the vinyl there is a dirt mark at this point, cleaned I would expect it to clear. Other than that I did hear one other pop and a few very, very quiet un-noteworthy crackles. The audio is superb on this side and certainly plays with very little lessening in sound quality, with much of this side actually playing at Mint.

Side two, Again fine start, but soon after a tick can be heard, this is not loud or a thud but certainly on a par with the music itself, I counted nine or ten rotations before it completely clears. Looking at the vinyl very closely a very, very small deep scratch can be seen. I was surprised it accounts for so many rotations, being so small, but with only four tracks on this side each track is quite drawn out. At the very end of track one a few crackles and a couple of quiet pops can be heard, these completely clear before track two starts. No notes after this, superb audio through until the end of this side, again perhaps an occasional quiet un-noteworthy crackle aside.

No distortion, fading or dragging on either side and certainly not suffering from any reduction in sound quality due to wear. Taking into account the audible surface noise in places, some of which may well clean, and the fact this has superb audio which is close to, if not, mint for a massive majority of both sides and the fact it has only been played a few times a grade of excellent is correct.
