FOURTH SENSATIONs/t       ITALIAN PROG. MONSTER OFFERED FOR SALE!   ORIGINAL 1970 RICORDI INTERNATIONAL LABEL PRESSING, CATALOG#. SLIR 22.046, ITALY.   A Psychedelic Rock album specially composed by well-known Italian Jazz musician and soundtrack composer Massimo Catalano for the budget label Ricordi International

the keyboard player was in fact Vince Tempera (Vincenzo Tempera), also well-known on the Soundtrack front, in the similarly styled Psycheground Group, The, and the Prog. supergroup Il Volo; Guitarist Ares Tavolazzi later became better-known as a bassist in Area (6); Ellade Bandini with the addition of guitarist Angelo Vaggi (later becomed a noted record producer). Music style is similar to other gems of the period as Underground Set LP or Blue Phatom "Distorsions". This combo only appeared on this LP,  any bootleg or reissue of this album exists.   Together with the Italian Beat decline and the upcoming Underground movement in the starting of early '70s also the musical innovations changed. So Psychedelic styles would begin and become 'trendy''. FOURTH SENSATION surely belong to this rising category, still 'experimental' for the year (1970), with great success considering the wonderful music here recorded. An extraordinary cover, deeply misterious: the strange realization of this album consists of 10 tracks all titled with female names. Totally instrumental, this self-titled LP a trip from Psychedelic Blues and Proto-Progressive tracks with Hammond organ emphatic prevalence. This is the reason why this record is highly sought-after by Psych, Prog. and also Library collectors, and it's also considered better than other records of the same year.   Full laminated sleeve. Record inside is housed into transparent bag.   The cover has pictures of the musicians, but no credits.

The band is known to be: Vince Tempera (organ), Ares Tavolazzi (guitar), Angelo Vaggi (bass), Ellade Bandini (drums).   A1 Julia   A2 Clarissa   A3 Vanessa   A4 Petula   A5 Elena   B1 Lisa   B2 Diana   B3 Marta   B4 Cinzia   B5 Georgia
