Condizioni : la copertina apribile presenta poche e modeste tracce d'usura in particolare sugli angoli; grande stato, NEAR MINT / la fascetta di carta (Obi) che circonda il lato sinistro della copertina è in grande stato, NEAR MINT  / vinile che appare come nuovo ma che rivela all'ascolto pochissimi lievi clicks, forse causati da cariche elettrostatiche o da qualche quasi invisibile granello di polvere; grande stato, NEAR MINT

Conditions : fold-out textured cover shows a few signs of slight wear and some minimal creasing on the corners, NEAR MINT / Obi is in great condition, NEAR MINT / disc looks as new even though at the listening reveals very few light clicks, possibly due to static charges or some microscopic specks of dust, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte da Francis Lai, arrangiamenti e direzione d'orchestra di Christian Gaubert. Amore e morte, sentimenti delusi, falsa allegria, rimpianto e profonda tristezza. Questi i principali ingredienti che scaturiscono dalle straordinarie composizioni dell’album. Ho detto straordinarie per la struggente intensità lirica delle musiche. Queste, pur da classificare generalmente come melodie classiche, raggiungono un apice artistico così alto che ogni categorizzazione dovrebbe essere eliminata. Musica soltanto e niente più.

Magistrali gli arrangiamenti di Christian Gaubert così come le sue virtuosissime esecuzioni al pianoforte. L’album si apre e si chiude con un tema ricco di nostalgia che inizia con un magnifico assolo di chitarra acustica che poi lascia spazio al pianoforte e infine all’arrivo dell’orchestra.  Ciascuna traccia ha differenti passaggi e sono intitolate : " Le Petit Matin " e " Nina Et La Verité ".  E poi " L’Alliée Belle " dove bellezza e tristezza si riflettono in un valzer veloce che non vorrebbe mai arrestarsi. L’effimera gioiosità di " Le Marriage " e le romantiche illusioni sottolineate da orchestra e pianoforte in " Le Beau Cavalier " e " Nina Seule ".

Notes : music Francis Lai, arrangements and orchestra Christian Gaubert.  Love and death, feeling disappointed, false happiness, regret and deep sadness. These are the main ingredients arising in the extraordinary compositions on the album. I have used the adjective extraordinary for the moving lyrical intensity of the compositions. These, although generally to be classified as classical melodies, reach a so high peak that every artistic categorization should be deleted. Only music and nothing more.
Masterful arrangements by Christian Gaubert as well as his exceptionally gifted performances on piano. The album opens and closes with a theme of nostalgia beginning with a magnificent acoustic guitar solo which later is replaced by piano and finally by orchestra. Both tracks have some different passages and are titled : " Le Petit Matin " and " Nina Et La Verité ". And yet " The Alliée Belle " where beauty and sadness are reflected in a fast waltz that would never want to stop. The evanescent joy in " The Marriage " and the sentimental illusions underlined by orchestra and piano in " Le Beau Cavalier " and " Nina Seule ".
