Description
FRANK BLACK - Teenager Of The Year 4AD 2LP Test Pressing - very rare! This is an auction for a very rare 4AD vinyl test pressing. Test pressings are usually only produced in quantities of between 5 and 10 to be used by record companies and artists to check the quality of a vinyl cut.
This, and the other test pressings currently up for sale (see my other auctions), are from the collection of a former 4AD employee. All are simply packaged in plain white inner sleeves. Most have never been played (although it's hard to say which have, so they are all listed as 'Used'), and any superficial marks are caused only by storage of the records for the last 15 or more years, in the form of very light paper scuffs caused by contact with the paper sleeves. Specific details below.
Some of them may be rejected test pressings for cuts that proved to be sub-standard - the only way to know for sure is to check against the matrix numbers in the run-out grooves of these records against those on the retail versions of the same records. I'm happy to supply you with these matrix numbers on request.
I will be listing more of these test pressings, so please come back soon! This particular auction is for the following release:
