Description

FRANK SINATRA Capitol Years 20 LP Concept Album Box Set. The Vinyl all appears unplayed! This set is lauded as containing all the finest sounding remasters done to date! On vinyl this is not easy to come by. Will be packed with great care / protection and signature service.


FRANK SINATRA The Capitol Years (ca 1985 UK Issue, 254-track 20-LP Box Set pressed in small numbers!)
Twenty albums, each housed in its respective picture sleeve with the original album's artwork, all housed in a large textured & silver embossed deluxe box, complete with a lovely 20-page illustrated booklet. Albums are in high grade & the vinyl appears  'as new.' I hesitate to use actual grading terms because grading is highly subjective, but the set appears unused. The covers are all split top dead center from previous shipping. The cover graphics look and even smell new! The outer box shows shelfwear, but did its job protecting the albums within.


This is considered the finest body of recored works from the 20th century. The Capitol era was Sinatra's professional and creative high point - classic collaborations with Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Gordon Jenkins - explorations of jazz, swing, ballads, saloon songs and upbeat dance numbers all form the basis for the "concept album" which Sinatra and Capitol pioneered in the early 1950s. In addition to the concept albums, there are five compilation albums that contain the non-album single and b-side releases of the era, making this a comprehensive archive of Sinatra material.
