About:
This Limited Edition, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab box set. Original Master Recording Frank Sinatra 16 LP Box Set released in 1983. The serial number on this box set is #2147. These Capitol Records studio LPs span the years between 1954 to 1961.

These "LIMITED EDITION" sets were re-mastered in the last half of 1983 from the ORIGINAL 1st generation studio master tapes (according to MFSL) onto extremely quiet virgin "Super" vinyl. This vinyl has low background noise and supposedly lasts longer than other vinyl. MFSL also used specialized equipment for playing back the original tapes and carving these top quality records, both machines were run at half speed. This re-mastering technique ensures the best possible frequency response and dynamic range to extract the most from the tapes. The albums feature the original album artwork.
