FRANK ZAPPA – IN NEW YORK D/LP
WITH PUNKY’S WHIPS
NEAR MINT CONDITION
This is the original withdrawn UK 1st pressing LP with Punky’s Whips on the DiscReet label K69204. Very few copies of these exist and (in this format and condition) it is perhaps the rareist of all FZ’s officially released LPs.
It has Punky’s Whips listed on the rear cover and on the label. The track appears on Side 1 of the LP. The inner gatefold has the original photo of Terry Bozio & Punky Meadows. The original text and lyrics (which were all missing from later pressings) are all there.
This is the LP as FZ intended it to be released - before the lawyers advised it to be withdrawn and repackaged without the PW’s track and references.
The vinyl is NEAR MINT. It has been very well cared for and looks like it has only been played a few times.
The cover is excellent - hardly any ringwear and no writing/doodles or other disfiguring marks.
