What you have here is a very RARE and possibly a ONE OFF item - A UK ONE SIDED 1967 VERVE MONO TEST PRESSING !!! OF FRANK ZAPPA'S - THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION album "Absolutely Free", this is a true one off item, and I have not seen another ones of these for sale, yes the promos come up for sale sometimes, but a one sided test pressing.......NEVER !!!

You can see the raised KT tax code on side A. (the one with the music), the machine stamped matrix number is V 5013 B-1, there are also 1 and G machine stamped on the 9 and 3 o'clock positions.

This copy would have been one of the FIRST HANDFUL OF COPIES TO BE PRESSED FROM THE FIRST STAMPER !!!! you can not get any earlier issue then this !!!!

This is only side B. of the album, while the other side plays a tone, and the matrix number stamped on the B. side is LPFB. There might have been a one sided test pressing of SIDE A as well, but my contact says he never remember getting any other copies, so maybe only the B. side was pressed as a test pressing for some unknown reason, who knows???

As you can see the original white paper sleeve also bears the release date of -7 Aug 1967, with hand written notes - A V6-5013 - 1G and ABSOLUTELY FREE - MOTHERS OF INVENTION.

This copy came from an industry person who worked at VERVE records in the UK in the 1960's amongst others, so it is 100% ORIGINAL ONE SIDED UK 1967 TEST PRESSING !!!

Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: VG++++ (Played twice at most !!! conservative grade !!!), only a few minor paper and handling scuffs, and marks, which on playback were not noticeable (would grade much higher by others !!!).

Sound Quality and Audio Grading: This record plays VG+++ (EX) if not higher, NO jumps, NO clicks just pure FRANK ZAPPA.
