Description
This is an early press copy of “We’re only in it for the Money” by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, released in 1968 on the Verve label (VLP 9199). It has a laminated flip back gate fold sleeve.
I would grade the outer laminated sleeve as “Very Good”. There is some minor edge wear to the top and bottom edges and to the spine which is square. The mouth has some rub wear and there is wear to all 4 corners. There is light ring wear. There is some spotting and small laminate creases to front and rear covers. The inner cover has very light spotting and a small number of tiny laminate creases (see photos).
I would grade the disc as “Very Good“. It has a very good shine but it does have a large number of visible scuff marks.
I would grade the labels as “Very Good Plus”. There is a hint of spindle wear as well as light rub marking and spotting to both (see photos).
The inner sleeve is a new replacement.
Matrix: Side 1 – “V5045A-1” stamps “1” and “M”
Side 2 – “V5045B-1” stamps “1” and “M”
Classifications are in accordance with Record Collector Magazine’s Record Collector Grading System and are possibly slightly pessimistic compared to some other sellers/collectors.
