  The Franklin Mint Record Society The 100 Greatest Recordings of all Time Vintage Classical & Opera Collection   I purchased these albums through a subscription with the Franklin Mint Record Society when they were first issued in 1978.  I had always intended to purchase a high quality player to listen to them but while collecting the set I wound up adopting 5 special needs kids, lost my wife to a heart attack, had to start up my own business to provide me the freedom to raise my family as a single parent, etc...  and just never got around to playing any of these records.  The records themselves are untouched, unplayed, and in mint condition.   During the years I moved quite a few times and although I attempted to protect the 50 albums, each containing 2 records, the best I could, there is some damage to some of the outer covers of the 50 cases.  All collected their share of dust.  These bookshelf cases I often refer to as albums in the listing are covered with a thin leather covering and most of the damage mentioned to the cases is defects to this leather, in most cases, small defects or scratches.   Each album in the 50 album set contains 2 LP Records, 33 RPM,  that are enclosed in protective molded vinyl inner cases. Inside each piece you will also find biographies, photographs and information about the conductor, composer, artist and the music. The story section is printed on a parchment like paper that is bound into the hardcover jacket much like a book. The paper has some slight yellowing on the outer edges from age around the parchment story pages.  Most of the pages are mint except for the yellowing, only a few show any other defects.  All are still securely bound in the album.   This set also includes many of the inserts originally sent with the recordings, including, among other items,  the Indexes for 1-24, 1-50, 1-75, and the final 1-100 that were issued as the subscription progressed (see picture below).   Please see below further descriptions & details of each of the 50 albums, 100 records of this great collection.  By my count, 119 performers, 59 conductors, 180 classical selections, on 100 Mint, Never Played, Records of the Highest Quality!!   (Note:  I unfortunately sold the bookcases the records were stored on prior to taking the pics so had to stack them on the guest bed to shoot the pics.  Not the most impressive display method but I hope you understand.  Some of the pics could have been sharper, hopefully they are good enough quality for you to assess the items in the auction.)   Do not hesitate to email me if you need any further details on the auction or shipping costs to your exact location!!

Payments from auction winner:  We expect the auction winner to contact us within 24 hours after the auction has closed and to either pay by PayPal or send a money order or cashiers check within 48 hours of the auction closing.  Please do not bid if you can not honor this policy!  We do not accept checks, personal or business, as a form of payment.  Be sure to include an accurate shipping address with your payment.

Multiple auction winners:  We end our auctions on Sunday evenings.  If on any given Sunday you win more than one of our auctions for that day, contact us by email and inform us of the auctions you won and we will provide you with a shipping discount.  (This auction, because of the weight & size of the shipment, would not be elibable for shipping discount.)

Insurance & Confirmation:  Because fo the nature of this auction, insurance and confirmation, along with tracking numbers, will be required and included in our shipping quote.  See shipping note above (below pictures).

International customers:  If you are not having the item shipped to an address in the United States,  you must request a shipping quote prior to bidding!!  This is very important with this auction because of the weights and sizes of the boxes (5) needed to ship the records.

Feedback:  We provide feedback for EVERY auction winner who provides us with feedback.  I use to leave feedback immediately on receiving payment, but after having hundreds of winners fail to leave me feedback for auctions after I left them feedback, I now leave feedback for only those who are courteous enough to do the same for me.  I hope you understand this policy.
