40 out of 50 volumes Offered!! 40 2-LP sets = 80 LPs. Unlike a lot of Classical "Sampler" Box sets out there, these collector's sets are valued for their exquisite sound. Pressed on Heavyweight deep- burgundy colored vinyl and offered on a limited basis to FM subscribers in 1979, each box holds 2 LPs with a multi-page booklet about the composers, conductors & recordings. Most (but not all) of the Sealed boxes have subscriber letters included, previewing each volume. Individual LPs are stored in a combo paper/vinyl anti-static dust sleeve, with additional packing in each box. Care has been taken at every level by Franklin Mint to ensure the best listening experience for the Classical Aficionado. ***NOTE OUR 10 PHOTOS INCLUDED IN DROP DOWN ON THIS PAGE*** Volumes FOR SALE here are #s 1-74 & 79-84. Not included here to complete this set, are Volumes 75/76, 75/78 and 85-100. ALL VOLUMES ARE SEALED Except #s 1-12, 33/34, and 73/74. Most of the open boxes have little to no wear or torn flaps as many of these type of sets often do. Three of the boxes have minor shelf wear with a fourth having a couple of spots (possibly price sticker residue). Some sealed volumes look pristine/others do have the shrink pulled back a bit and have some storage wear outside & inside the shrink (see photos). To the untrained eye, it appears the inside dust jackets have some markings on them but since the inside of the boxes do not, this could simply be an artificial or artistic weathering by F Mint, much like the "antique" look of the Parchment bond booklets in each volume (see photos). The Vinyl on all Open LPs are Near Mint. The shipping weight on this set is aprox. 80 lbs. We can ship UPS Ground OR you can arrange shipping on your end. We are located in St. Louis, Mo and we can also hold this set for customer pick up at out warehouse if you would like to save on shipping charges.
