You are bidding for a Very Rare Complete Set of 100 LPs of the Franklin Mint Set Record Society that came out in 1984.
There are 50 boxes in the set and each contains 2 LPs pressed on Bright Red Virgin Vinyl. Each 2 LP set covers a specific set of artists who were active in the Swing period in Jazz from the mid 1930s to the mid 1950s.
Each box set contains a lavishly illustrated booklet with many rare photos and biographies of the main participating artists. The set comes with a booklet giving full track listings an recording dates. There is also a performers index in the book and an alphabetical titles selection indicating on which disc the title appears.
This set has been compiled by Franklin Mint, whose reputation for quality is legendary. The titles on the LPs are representative of the best of each artist. The set is a virtual history of the Swing Era and is a fascinating document for any Big Band aficionado.
Artists include: Glen Miller, Will Bradley, Orrin Tucker, Don Redman, Harry James, Horace Heidt, Jack Jenny, Claude Hopkins, Vaughan Munroe, Guss Armheim, Larry Clinton, Boyd Raeburn, Duke Ellington, Frankie Carle, Bob Chester, Tommy Dorsey, Bennie Goodman, Shep Fields, Ted Weems, Jimmy Dorsey, Erskin Hawkins, Les Elgart, Ted Lewis, Guy Lombardo, Ossie Nelson, Cab Calloway, Count Basie, Xavier Cugat, and about 50 others, too numerous to mention.
As there are around 1200 + titles in this set, it is impossible to list them, however each transfer sounds as good as it can be and anyone who is familiar with Franklin Mint Editions will know their standard was of the highest.
The boxes and LPs are in near mint condition. This set will provide hours and hours of delight and education for the Big Band and Swing enthusiast or anyone coming to Big Band and Swing for the first time, who wishes to learn about a subject spanning the 1930s to the 1950s.

Last weekend, I sold another 100 LP Box Set "FRANKLIN MINT THE GREATEST JAZZ RECORDINGS OF ALL TIME". They were packed in two boxes at 11.5k and 14k each and went to Finland. The courier charged a basic of £70 (£35 per box),and the customer bought extra insurance of £100 per box, which cost him an extra £5. So the total cost to Finland was £75. This should help EU customers with p&p costs.
