Franklin Mint The Beatles Abbey Road Musical Dome

This is an absolutely superb limited edition Franklin Mint The Beatles Abbey Road Musical Sculpture with Glass Dome, in perfect fully working mint condition, originally released by the Franklin Mint in the early 1990s for a strictly limited short period of time and now very hard to find anywhere.

This beautiful sculpted ornament is cast in Franklin's famous Tesori porcelain, featuring a hand-painted design protected by a crystal glass dome, and containing a fully-working wind-up musical chime that plays an excerpt from a famous Beatles song.

This version is based on the Beatles' famous album cover for Abbey Road, and features John, Paul, George and Ringo walking across the zebra crossing, with traffic lining the tree-lined road behind them, and the street name Abbey Road bedded in the design at the rear. Wind it up with the golden key underneath and it plays a charming musical box version of the song Here Comes The Sun.

It comes complete with the official Franklin Mint Limited Edition Certificate Of Authenticity, signed by the then vice chairman Lynda Rae Resnick, and also present is the original collector's signed letter from Elizabeth Jennings, Collector Services - very rare to find one with this original paperwork!

Each of these gorgeous ornaments stands approximately 13cms (5 inches) high - the diameter of the base is approximately 9cms (3 and a half inches) - and make a marvellous display piece for any Beatles collector or for people who appreciate beautifully-crafted artworks for their homes.
