Condition: Record and sleeve are in EX condition.
Hard to find and essential 1967 first printing Garage Fuzz & Psych nuggets album with various L.A. styles from fuzz punk to jangly folkrock ... worthy if only for the killer grooves of THE MOMS BOYS (Yellow Pills) & The Glass Family (Losing It) -> their LP on Warner Brothers is awesome! - this is a non LP 45 and EVEN better !... but there is a lot more to offer inside ! In authentic MONO...straight from the GARAGE !
Allright...this is a wild one! FREAKOUT USA was issued out by an exploitation company that takes the latest teen trend, gets together some musicians and writes some songs mimicing the trend to cash-in. BUT wait a minute. They 'hit the mark' in scoring COOL real garage bands and their far-out tunes, for this is pretty blatant with the farfisa organs, hammonds, and fuzz boxes. The Aftermath segues from Standells' styled garage-punk to sunshine harmonies and back are particularly winning. The Zappa-esque freakout "Poisons in My Body" could be a serious bummer if your trip's not going well, but the fuzz guitar in nugget "I'm Losing It" will reel you back in.
