Offered for sale is an original U.S. release of FRED McDOWELL & FURRY LEWIS ~ WHEN I LAY MY BURDEN DOWN.  Album is identified as Biograph Records BLP-12017, this was issued in 1970.  This album is in VG++/EXCELLENT condition, the album's cover is in NEAR MINT shape with the original shrink-wrap.  Sides are evenly divided, both of these legendary country bluesmen were recorded at their respective homes in late 1968 and early 1969.  The stereo sound quality is not 'high fidelity'.  Fred can be heard on seven tunes including; "If You See My Baby", "Dankin' Farm", "John Henry", "Louise", "61 Highway", "Big Fat Mama", and the title track.  Furry can be heard on six tunes including; "Casey Jones", "Harry Furry Blues", "Grieve My Mind", "Beale Street Blues", "Every Day In The Week", and the title track.  Winning bidders can combine orders and pay one S/H fee.  Feel secure in knowing that your item(s) will be professionally packaged.  Please feel free to ask any relevant questions.  Shipping to Canada on this one is $9.99, shipping to most everywhere else for $16.99.   Furry sings the blues.
