Hard to find, out of print 2008 mono Classic records pressing of this much sought after 1960 Blue Note album. Remastered by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 200 gr. Quiex Supervinyl. (BLP 4040) The item is in brand new, factory sealed condition and has no visible damage or defects.

A Blue Note perennial from 1960, Hubbard's output for this label is considered perhaps his finest overall and Open Sesame, his very first for the label, may be the best of the lot. Joined by Tina Brooks on tenor, McCoy Tyner at the piano, Sam Jones' bass and drummer Clifford Jarvis, this ol' mother Hubbard blows his trumpet with fire and fury, taking no prisoners.
