Mr. Heartache
FREDDY SCOTT had his share of hits in the 1960's, making it into the US R&B charts for the first time in the summer of 1963 with "Hey Girl" on Colpix. He followed it with a few other titles, before jumping over to Shout Records for his #1 smash "Are You Lonely For Me" in 1966.
This record comes from 1964. Between Colpix and Shout he cut a few sides for Columbia and among them was the magnificent "Mr. Heartache." It's become one of his best loved Northern Soul tracks and one listen and you'll be sold. On the flipside he continues the theme with "One Heartache Too Many."
