Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects - “Sol Niger Within” 2x12" Vinyl LP DMM version

LIMITED to 500 "Direct Metal Master" (DMM) and 500 "Lacquer Cut"

Finally, “Sol Niger Within” is released on vinyl with the treatment it deserves thanks to Husaria Records. The album is pressed on 200 gram, 45 RPM vinyl and the release marks the first time that an album has been made available simultaneously with two different cutting techniques. The two variants are also distinguished by the jacket. The triple gatefold for the DMM version has a glossy finish, while the Lacquer cut has a matte finish. The packaging is exceptional, and includes a technical essay by Scott Hull at Masterdisk, who did the cutting for this release, and an essay by Octarine Communications West (aka R Joseph Lee/Rod Smith) that explores some of the release's musical and metaphysical aspects.
