FREE " FIRE AND WATER " THIRD ALBUM RELEASED BY FREE ON ISLAND RECORDS ILPS - 9120 in STEREO on WHITE "i" PINK LABEL
RARE ORIGINAL A1/B/1 FIRST PRESSING RELEASED WHITE "i" IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
Very Early First Pressing Matrix Numbers: ILPS 9120 A#1 followed by 1 1 1 and ILPS 9120 B# 1 followed by 1.
OUTSTANDING FOLLOW UP ALBUM TO "FREE", RELEASED IN 1970.
Superb Very Sturdy Heavy Duty Vinyl, typical of the late 60's Issues.
Side 1 : Fire And Water; Oh I Wept; Remember; Heavy Load .
Side 2 : Mr.Big; Don't Say You Love Me; All Right Now.
Outstanding Album by probably one of the greatest British Rock/Blues Bands of the sixties, FREE, with strong Blues influence from the highly talented Paul Rogers, Paul Kossoff, the great Simon Kirke and Andy Fraser. Recorded and released in 1970, and must be counted as one of the greatest 60's "Rock and Blues" Albums of all time. British Rock/Blues at its Finest.
A Rare Record. The record is in excellent condition, on the ISLAND Label.
The labels are the original Island First Issue Very Course Labels with the deep and distinctive double grooved inner ring. Lovely PINK labels with the White "i" Logo. Both sides show little signs of any spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre hole.
The Vinyl is very clean, nice solid 60's Vinyl and the Record plays very well, the surface of the record is excellent and is virtually free from all but the very lightest of surface marks and scuffs, some very slight marks only noticeable under very strong light, only to be expected at this age. Overall gives an excellent sound quality. Lovely Nice Rich High Gloss Deep Black Vinyl and Classic Stereo sound. All round excellent record.
The centre labels are very clean, First Pressing course pink label with defined inner ring groove, free from marks, unwanted stickers and wtriting which can otherwise spoil the appearance of a lovely label. Nice rich pink with perfect white i.
The Sleeve is in very good condition. This is the First Pressing thin card sleeve which has a delicate matt finish Island First Issue Cover which was succeptable to wear and heavy staining. There are No nasty creases, No tears, No Writing, unwanted stickers or rips on the sleeve, or on the record labels, slight imprint of record on front cover through storage. All the outer edges are intact and in very good order some slight edge wear with storage, some slight wear to corners. The spine is rigid and the text on the spine is virtually intact,some very slight surface wear, the spine is white with black lettering, there is very little wear to the spine despite the delicate paper of the cover, the opening edges to the sleeve are quite sharp. Lovely example of this rare classic record sleeve.
Record comes complete with the original Plastic Bags Can be Dangerous warning inner polylined paper sleeve.
