THE FRESHIES - PERSONAL LETTER BY CHRIS SIEVEY (UK 1980) ON THE BACK OF A PHONOGRAM 'REJECTION SLIP' FROM 17th MARCH 1980 Original and very rare 1980 memorabilia item by the great Manchester artist Chris Sievey and his band The Freshies - a pioneer of DIY punk movement and composer of some of the greatest powerpop songs of the late '70s and early '80s - later known by his Frank Sidebottom persona. The letter was sent to a fan by Chris Sievey - "..I had to go through my cuboards to find you a copy but here it is, hope you find it interesting..". The letter is written on the back of a Phonogram 'Rejection Slip' (see legendary 'Virgin book of Reject Slips').. A great memorabilia item from the punk & new wave scene and the legendary band from Manchester.
