Originally formed in New Jersey in 1999, Funebrarum is the death metal brainchild of one Daryl Kahan (Citizens Arrest, Assuck, Born Against, Forced Expression), who originally also enlisted members of Evoken, Infester and Immolation. Releasing two albums during their initial tenure, both the economics of touring in an extreme metal band and the rigorous demands of adulthood would result in numerous line-up shifts before ultimately going on hiatus before resurrecting the project with an all-new backing band in 2015. Entering Charles Koryn's Elektric City studio in 2019 to record their long-gestating third-full length Beckoning The Void Of Eternal Silence, with instrumentation starting in Portland, Oregon and vocals, leads and mixing completed at Sound Spa Studios in Edison, New Jersey, with well-known engineer Steven Di Acutis (Ripping Corpse, Evoken, Disma), the pandemic would kill the band's momentum and shelve the finished recordings (temporarily). Now, with the album artwork finalised (painted by Kahan himself), and all boring real world responsibilities settled for now, Funebrarum make their decrepit return with a long overdue bastion of seismic, beastly, otherworldly death metal malevolence for those with the harshest of aural tendencies.
