UNBELIEVABLE FIND!
This record was purchased from a junk shop in Sumter, SC. I have no information whatsoever on the artist.
Side A is a vocal track and Side B is a righteous funk instrumental with organ and a killer guitar break. Both songs feature exceptional guitar and bass work!
It is probably safe to assume that this may be the only copy of this record in existence.
The record does have significant wear and there are signs of edge flaking. It should be noted that I do not think the edge flaking shows a danger of getting worse if the record is handled with care. I have photographed all of the defects of this record. Rather than sight-grade the record as I typically do, I am including a youtube video which is a recording of both songs. I have truncated the endings of the songs to preserve the value of this item for the buyer. The video has photos of the defects so that there is no confusion on the part of the buyer that this record is far from perfect -- but the video makes it evident that the record plays. I played it on a Marantz turntable with Shure cartridge with a bit of weight to the tonearm. This record could possibly skip on a hi-fi table with lightly balanced tonearm, but should play as well as it does in this video with most DJ weighted turntables.
If anyone has any information on this artist, I would love for you to contact me.
I have not made copies of this music for anyone. The buyer of this item will be the only other person besides me with a copy of the songs.
No audio cleanup was done to this recording. No EQing or mastering.
Buyer will probably be able to get better sound with some minor audio processing.
I use the following grades: M (mint, new sealed records only get this grade), NM (flawless but opened record - many other dealers would call this "mint", I only differentiate when the record is not factory sealed), VG+ (a *high* grade from me, record may show minor signs of use, but is in overall great shape and should play free from defect), VG (record may have some minor surface marks, but nothing that should detract from the listenability), VG- (may have a number of surface marks and may play with some noise, but still listenable and a decent play copy) G (I rarely list anything with this grade unless it is highly rare and valued, may have many surface marks, but still playable)
I have over 20 years experience in record dealing and grade conservatively. Check my feedback. All items are guaranteed.
