Description

FUNKADELIC - 'AMERICA EATS ITS YOUNG'. STEREO. WESTBOUND. (1972).

Extremely rare first USA pressing on the WESTBOUND labels. EX+ USA card Gatefold sleeve. Both vinyl records NEAR MINT!  This set is in fantastic overall condition. Incredible artwork on the USA gatefold sleeve.

This rare set includes the INSANELY RARE unmounted, uncreased NEAR MINT POSTER!!!

Sleeve is uncreased and pretty much free from any significant wear. Any minor wear has not been from handling, but from storage. This cover has escaped all the usual rigors of such an album and has remained relatively unscathed. It has a notoriously fragile cover but this copy is AMAZING. The spine is in great shape with only the very slightest of wear.  Edges have very slight wear, but all in all a final upgrade copy. Hardly ever seen, 'AMERICA EATS ITS YOUNG' was the successor to 'MAGGOT BRAIN', and never got an original UK release.  The double vinyl records are in fantastic NEAR MINT condition, with only a mere trace of having been played maybe once or twice only!  Hard in itself to find the double album set in decent shape, but with the poster in UNUSED, NEAR MINT CONDITION that makes this set the ultimate copy.

The time has come for me to start selling off big chunks of my otherwise 'keeper' collection. Some of these records are incredibly hard to find in such superb condition. The records in my eBay listings are from my own personal record collection. I am not a record dealer. Some particular records I have bought two or three times over - just to get that special 'keeper' copy. These listings are the fruits of my collecting effort which spans over 25 years.

My
Buy It Now prices fairly reflect the market and demand for these genuinely rare records. Just search through sites like Popsike dot com for some past examples of eBay auction results over the last few years. The Buy It Now option makes it fair on everybody... too many disappointments can be had by not bidding high enough and finding out you missed having an item by £5 or less!  My regular auction listings start with a price I am happy to sell at, and if demand dictates that this price goes higher then that's all good.

In the very rare event that you are disappointed, I will accept returns if items are not as described and issue a full refund (minus your return postage costs).

PayPal ONLY PLEASE. Items selling over £38.00 will be insured and sent by Special Delivery and/or Registered Post with insurance. £6.50 for UK, and £13.00 for Rest of the World
. If postage is significantly more than quoted I will refund any difference.

Regarding postage and shipping:  I am not Amazon.com.  I go to the post office once or possibly twice a week.  During the holidays it will be increasingly painful, so be patient.  "Priority mail" means it goes by air...it does not mean it goes out in the next hour.  I have never had a package lost and do not get any complaints about packing - in fact my packing rates among the best on eBay. I use cruciform mailers (usually doubled-up) and loads of parcel tape to ensure a strong package.

Please read my checkout instructions. Please wait for my invoice before paying, as postage to different global locations can vary. Full refund given (minus return postage) if item is not as described.

STRICTLY GRADED. (Play graded, and visually graded to Record Collector standards).

Any questions please email...

I have no need to use the words MEGA, ULTRA, or c**p on about how many of these LPs got trashed at parties. I try to avoid exhaustive usage of exclamation marks in my honest descriptions and I also avoid the over-use of CAPITAL letters (unless they are used for relevant emphasis to my auction description) and I do not wish to shout at my buyers. One other thing - I do not sell items which have had the opening edges of the cover trimmed by a guillotine or blade to make the covers appear in better condition. Some other sellers do this as a regular practice, and it's just not on.
