HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY 'ONE OFF' WEDNESDAY NIGHT AUCTIONS (ENDING LATE WEDNESDAY 18TH MAY / EARLY THURSDAY 19TH!)!!!!
As many people may already know, I usually end all my items on Sunday nights (and these will still continue!)!!!! However as I had quite a few extra items of UTMOST RARITY come in to me this week (they really are TOP QUALITY, and NOT cheap overstock!) and completely ran out of time to list them last Sunday - I decided to do a 'one off' set of listings of Wednesday auctions ending on Wednesday 18th May!!!! On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Furry Lewis called "Furry Lewis In Memphis" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Saydisc Matchbox label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE SAYDISC / MATCHBOX LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! AND FOR ONCE IT IS 100% COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL 'MATCHBOX & ROOTS' JANUARY 1970 PROMOTIONAL INSERT!!!! THIS INSERT WAS PUT INSIDE ALL 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP - TO ADVERTISE OTHER LPs ON SAYDISCS LABELS (MATCHBOX & ROOTS!). THIS LP IS ALSO LISTED IN THERE AS THE 'LATEST RELEASE' - SHOWING THIS INSERT WAS MEANT FOR THIS LP!!!! IMPORTANTLY IT ALSO STATES THAT THIS LP FEATURES 'BRAND NEW RECORDINGS - NEVER RELEASED BEFORE'!!!! SO THIS WAS THE VERY FIRST TIME THESE RECORDINGS HAD EVER BEEN RELEASED - EVER!!!! ALMOST EVERY COPY OF THIS LP IS MISSING THIS VITALLY IMPORTANT 'PROMOTIONAL' INSERT, AND IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ONE 100% COMPLETE TODAY!!!!
NOT ONLY BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND CLEARLY HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS SAYDISC MATCHBOX LABEL, 1ST PRESS A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS 'PROMOTIONAL' INSERT, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'WEST BROTHERS' COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Saydisc Matchbox UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is SDR 190 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Saydisc Matchbox label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, barely ANY clicks AT ALL, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY low level background sound in places (which is common to ALL copies of this pressing from new!)!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! BRILLIANT RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! THE ULTRA RARE 'PROMOTIONAL' INSERT IS IN SUPERB CONDITION - WITH ONLY SOME VERY LIGHT CREASING TOWARDS THE TOP!!!! The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'West Brothers' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO splits, NO edge wear (apart from some almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces!), NO stickers, only VERY slight spinal wear (NO nasty heavy wear, and NO spine splits!), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO ringwear, only 2 or 3 TINY 'touched in' traces towards the top right (these are TINY and almost INVISIBLE!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, only 1 almost INVISIBLE wear trace towards the top left, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better - and still looks VERY nice indeed!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY 100% COMPLETE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
