rare German first press vinyl LP released in the 1950s on red/gold ELECTROLA / HIS MASTERS VOICE label with catalognumber WALPS-1508. Collectors and audiophiles will know that this is a very first pressing as it has the "SQUARE 33" on bottom label, plus this is indeed the version with NO APPLAUSE at the end of the 4th set... Foldout cover with archive sticker and Furtwangler's signature on the inside; the heavy vinyl in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - best copy I have seen in many years... Famous 1951 reference performance with Furtwängler conducting the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra & Chorus featuring Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Hongen, Hans Hopf, Otto Edelmann recorded with true audiophile soundquality same as the earliest WALP 1286/87 box set version.
