Description
This is a UK 1st pressing (on orange WB labels) of Faces ‘First Step’.
Early pressings bear the label title ‘The First Step’ and this is such an example.
The product of the almalgamation of the Small Faces and the Jeff Beck Group, this is the foundation album of a cult rock group; and this copy comes from the collection of an ex-Island Records executive.
This copy has a lightly marked sleeve with some wear to the bottom edge of the front face, two mildly bashed corners and some minor ringwear to the rear face (which appears worse under our lights for photographing than when handled), but a very strong spine and without staining; we’ve gone with VG+ due to the bottom edge scrape.
The vinyl is in fantastic condition and hasn’t been play-graded, side A has a lone scrape that looks very shallow and probably from a sleeve removal but appears worse than it will play; other than that both sides are minimum EX arguably NM.
Please bear in mind I take our pictures under very strong light to aid transparency, sleeves/labels are not discoloured unless stated and scratches/marks WILL appear worse than when handled.
