This is an original UK pressing of Gag, the fourth and final studio album by Fad Gadget (Frank Tovey), released in 1984 on Mute Records. Known as one of the true pioneers of electronic and industrial music, Fad Gadget helped define the sound of Mute in the early ’80s, standing alongside labelmates like Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and D.A.F.
This pressing is on Mute’s STUMM 15 catalog number, with the classic UK black-and-white cover design. Collectors know how important Fad Gadget’s Mute releases are, they’ve become harder to find in nice condition as his legacy continues to grow.
