Welcome to a number of very special auctions, that will appeal to Iain Matthews, Fairport Convention, Apple related, Vertigo, and fans of this collectable era.
Over the next few weeks I will be offering a number of auctions from Iain Matthews personal memorabilia collection.
All of these items have a hand signed certificate of authenticity, with a written description about each item.

This auction -
Emi 'Emidisc' acetate,
of the unreleased Fairport Convention single 'Some sweet day'
This acetate is ONE sided - (next week I will offer a two sided actate, with a 'scratched out' version of Suzanne on the reverse.)
Condition - The disc is clean, and free of anything other than paper scuffs, I played it once, and it looks EX, and plays EX with no major faults.
The label has age related staining and foxing, as seen.
Nothing inscribed in the run off grooves.
Discussing this with Iain, he told me ' He got this pair of acetates last, after them having been passed around the other members of the band'
He thinks (we do not guarantee this) that the writing on the label is Joe Boyd's.
The historical element of this is crucial for serious collectors of this era. Probably, this particular disc went home with Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol et al.
What is definite, and 100% certified is this is Iain's personal copy of this rarity, and will almost certainly never come up for sale again.
