Description

DESCRIPTION: Fairport Convention Lp- Unhalfbricking. A1/B1 matrix and rough textured pink Island labels. You notice the weight of this vinyl straight away- it weighs in at 165gm compared with my "Black Circle" pressing at 147gm. A genuine heavyweight!! In original matt E.J Day cover and original plain white poly lined inner with "UK Patent No.." text. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER:Island ILPS-9102 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1969 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION . (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG. Vinyl is very clean with a decent sheen and only a few light short hairlines. Played this in its entirety today on my Pro- ject deck at a very healthy volume. Sits flat on the turntable. This LP playgrades as very near excellent . Very clear, clean and loud. Hardly any background sound at all, even between tracks. It has a faint trickle on the quietest parts of "A Sailors Life" and a soft tick on most of "Who Knows Where The Time Goes". This was my own copy for many years until a recent upgrade. It was from a fantastic collection. Cover is firm and square and has near moderate edgewear, moderate cornerwear and light creasing/rubbing (to rear only). Beautiful clean rough textured labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Remember this has been played quite regularly in full and is a really nice clean copy all round. No unpleasant surprises if you buy this.... PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER FOLK and CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
