The Record Grading

I have classed this LP using the Record Collector Grading as "Very Good to Excellent".

This record is not brand new or in mint condition so if that is what you are after then to avoid any disappointment please refrain from bidding if you prefer mint condition.

The reason for the "very good to excellent" grading.

The record shows signs of having been played but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional scratch. There is normal wear and tear on the cover.

Record

There is normal surface noise and this record has not been overplayed.

The record has some light scratches and scuff marks.

Side 2 track 2 has 2 clicks.

The record is clean.

The record sounds strong and undistorted and still has definition and clarity.

This is still a great sounding album with magnificent production quality from that era.

Cover and Sleeve

Please see the pictures.

The cover is laminated.

The front and back of the cover have ring marks where the record storage in the cover over the years shows through.

There is no storage wear to the bottom and top edges. The leading edge shows very little wear. (please see the pictures).

The text is all 100% readable.

There is a slight sign of hand writing in pen on the back cover, top left. (please see the pictures)

The back cover shows signs of discoloration with age.

There is a little nick at the top of the front cover and some laminate bubbling.

I use the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide as below.

2.  MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be     Mint.

3.  EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

4.  VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

5.  GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

6.  FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

7.  POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

8.  BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.

     Any Questions please ask.

     THANKS FOR LOOKING.
