The Fallen Angels "The Fallen Angels" from 1968 on the Roulette Records Label.
RARE ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING!
The cover is in VERY GOOD ++ condition! Comes with original plain paper inner sleeve.
It is on the Roulette Records Label SR-25358!
THE FALLEN ANGELS were a Washington D.C. based garage/psychedelic band in the 1960’s.
Guitarist "Wally Cook" had been a member of "The Young Rabbits". In 1965 he hooked up with singer/bassist "Jack Bryant" and "Charlie Jones" to form "The Disciples". Within a matter of months they became "The Uncalled", followed by a shift to "The Fallen Angels" formed by "Jack Bryant" (vocals, bass guitar, kazoo), "Wally Cook" (lead guitar), "Richard 'Luvly' Kumer" (drums and percussions), "Howard Danchik" (piano, flute, celeste), "Jack Lauritsen" (guitar, sitar, vibes), "Barry Seidel" (horns, effects) and "Tom Traynor" (laughter, good vibrations, first aid).
The first album (entitled simply "The Fallen Angels") received a very favorable response but had no top ten hits due in large part to a sub-par production effort by the recording studio and an ill-conceived promotional strategy aimed at the conventional tastes of AM listeners. Unfortunately, "Roulette Records" was looking for hit-making successors to "Tommy James & The Shondells" and consequently never had a clue as to how to properly promote the iconoclastic "The Fallen Angels".
Largely written by "Jack Bryant", material such as "Room At the Top", "Introspective Looking Glass" and "Your Friends Here In Dundeville" was full of hazy lyrics, weird timings, Fuzz guitar and sound effects - simply too progressive for mainstream consumption. Needless to say, their music was too "far out" for the "straight" audience and received very limited exposure to the burgeoning "underground" music scene.
Even with all the problems concurrent with its release, the "Fallen Angels" album contains some real gems that reflect the attitudes of both hope and cynicism which prevailed during the Psychedelic era.
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD ++ condition!
The labels are the ORIGINAL ORANGE and YELLOW and are in excellent condition.

Our starting prices are always reasonable. Very rarely will you see a "Reserve Auction". Auctions run for seven days. We Accept PayPal ONLY! Payment must be made within 72 hours of auction close unless other arrangements are made before the auction ends.
Packaging
LP's are removed from the cover and shipped outside of jacket in a inner paper sleeve. The cover and record are then placed in the plastic record protector. Finally, they are packed in the cardboard record mailer supported by cardboard stiffeners. The record is then packed well as for it not to move around during shipping!

I do not profit from shipping and handling.
US Customers: Shipping cost is as follows: $4.00 Media Mail (2-9 days) or $8.00 Priority Mail (3-5 days).
US customers please be aware that Media Mail can take up to 12 business days to arrive (and on rare occasions even longer). In most cases it will arrive at your door within 5-6 days. I ship all items within 2 business days of receiving your payment. If you would like to receive your item more quickly, I recommend you select Priority Mail as your shipping option.
International Customers: Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked.
